Bertine "Betty" Peterson
Bertine (Betty) Louise Peterson, 80, passed away quietly on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, from complications of diabetes and congestive heart failure. A longtime resident of Frenchtown she had been residing at Riverside Nursing Home.
Betty was born Feb. 10, 1937, on a farm near Lemmon, South Dakota. She married Richard Wysk and they had children and began their journey across Montana. She was a homemaker and had a farm with many animals and a large garden. She worked at White Pine and drove school bus for Frenchtown School. She and Richard divorced.
Betty was an avid seamstress and loved to knit and crochet, many family and friends have an afghan made from her loving hands. Betty married Leroy Feltus and acquired two step-daughters. They raised beefalo cattle. They later divorced.
Betty is proceeded in death by her parents, Peter and Jessie Peterson; brother, Paul; sisters, Emma and Martha; daughter, Linda and son, Daniel, step daughter, Lynnette. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Kohler, Frenchtown, son, Wayne Wysk, Frenchtown and son David (Sherry) Wysk, Tacoma, Washington, stepdaughter, Jeannette Feltus, Frenchtown; sisters Rae Jernberg and Polly Smith and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
