Obituary for Georgia Mae Duffy

Georgia Mae Duffy, 65, of Missoula, passed away suddenly on December 13that her home. Georgia was a twin born on June 11, 1952 with her sister Linda. Georgia lived her entire life in Missoula graduating from Hellgate High. After graduation she attended Business College in Spokane, WA. Georgia worked at St Patrick’s Hospital as a medical secretary, but the majority of her career was at St Anthony’s Parish as the church secretary. Georgia was an active and devoted member of St Anthony’s her entire life. Georgia was always an exceedingly generous and thoughtful person. She enjoyed sending gifts often to her sisters, many nieces and nephews, never missing a birthday. In 1978 Georgia married Harvey Duffy in Missoula. Georgia was a very dedicated wife and cared for her husband over the last 30 plus years after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Georgia did not have an easy life being small in stature. She could be seen walking all around Missoula and at 4’6 she could outpace us all.

Georgia is survived by her husband Harvey, sister’s Linda Henning, Terry Metcalf, Joey (Craig) Gallagher and Chrisy Bisom as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Earl and Beryl Bisom, sister Ellie and many loyal pets.
